Bus Delays
In the event of adverse weather or road conditions, your bus could be delayed. If the delay will be any greater than 10-15 minutes, First Student will attempt to contact parents by phone. However, if the delay is less than that, you will have to watch for the bus and no calls will be made.

Because Horizon is so large geographically, weather and road conditions may be very different within different towns and school attendance areas. Detailed and up-to-date weather information may be found at:
Bus Cancellations and School Closures
Also, in the event of adverse weather or road conditions, there may be certain routes within a geographic region or all routes within a geographic region that may be cancelled. These decisions are made in collaboration between bus drivers/road checkers, First Student Administration, and Horizon School Division.
If individual bus routes are cancelled, parents will be contacted by their bus driver.
If schools are closed in the geographic area, bus drivers do not contact individual families, parents will need to:

Listen to the following Radio Stations as they will announce any cancellations – The River 107.7 FM, Rock 106.7 FM, Country 95.5 FM, B93.3 FM, CKBD 98.1, CJOC 94.1 FM
